Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Advanced Tips and Tricks

I just bought this Black Flag a couple of days ago as my 1st AC game, and I am absolutely loving it! TY for these tips and tricks and no spoilers, it's much appreciated!

You and I both have the same mindset! Side stuff first and then the main story, that's how I play most open world games, and honestly feels way better to take your time with the game rather than push to the final mission.

I've played the game through twice before and upgraded the Jackdaw all the way, but i've never beaten all 4 legendary ships, I had no idea you get a special attack for doing that

A few things i'd add:
Regarding assassination contracts, my fav way to get full money is to find a bush or stealth spot near the target and throw a berserk dart at him or a nearby guard, it's stealthy and efficient.
As far as cargo, sugar sells for a bit more (20R) than rum (15R), so prioritize the ships with more sugar.
i'd advise fighting to clear the paths in kenway's fleet, they give you a lot of ressources and gems to buy more spots. Also keep a balanced amount of ships, having 15 manowars is useless since they're slow, i have 2 schooners, 4 brigs, 4 frigates and 5 manowars. Schooners and brigs are a lot faster than frigates and manowars. also pretty useful during fights against equivalent ships.

I recently came back to this game after playing it literally 10 years ago pretty much to the day I was in middle school and didn’t understand the complexity’s of a game like this and didn’t have as easy access to the guides and shi I do now and was in middle school so had no idea how to fully take advantage of the game or what to look for to make it easier to play and fun when I was a kid now that im older playing this game has no only been super great but a nostalgic trip back to a much simple time

For the love of God. For the first time someone with a sense. Almost all people these want to finish game first to get awesome loot, skills etc. But what is the point when the game is finished. After I beat the game I literally uninstall. Huge respect bro. Awesome work.

Great video. I got the feeling the mortar is the most useful weapon based on the highest damage and range. Glad I focused on that upgrade first.

I think the weakest pistol with longest range is the best. It makes hunting and assassination way easier. Sure you have to do headshots time to time.

I regret wasting all my early money on building up my town like brothels, bar, and my own home. 40k wasted.

I started playing black flag for the first time. Best pirate game and only pirate game I ever played. It's way more fun than assassin's creed 2.

I hope you keep it up bud, watched the entire video! And I’m barely into the game so I’m excited to try these during my very first play through. It’s obvious the videos you have made, are because you have dedicated a tremendous amount of time. To the subject matter. But if you wanna do it, man, do it, make videos. Soothing enough voice, and the way perfect examples popped up and you seemingly made this entire thing in one take. I was very impressed.

Tip: When in combat and you block an attack and kill the guy, you can attack someone else and he'll also get one shot and you can continue this imfinitely.
Also there are combat finishers with pistols or rope darts.
And a cherry on top if you're in your attack chain and line up 2 guys, there are crazy animations for double kills with swords and guns or rope darts.

No spolilers video almost 12 years after the game was published is crazy, anyway black flag is one of the best games I've ever played, also a few different times.
I enjoyed the hunting and harpooning, on the map it shows what animals are in a said location.
In the beginning I always go for the cannon barrel pistols, they seem better stat wise.

I played long ago as a kid. Just got it again for the steam sale and It's good to play again. I don't think I completed the game more than 60% when I was younger(don't remember why). Incredible game, gameplay, graphics. Now im maybe 40%. Maxed out Jackdaw, maxed out crafting, completed forts, golden flints, and just beat 2 of the legendries last night. Plan on doing the other 2 today. Will then try to finish the story and 100% the islands. This game is so good and is defs a #1 game of all time for me, with Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess being my 2nd. Nice to see this video just after buying the game and knowing people still play and enjoy it to this day.

I’m actually play thru ac4 for the first time and I most definitely agree with what ur saying. I’ve been taking the main story slow and just grinding out little locations and just completing side quests to up grade my ship and just clearing the map in general.
