Digital Reconstruction in Art History

At a height of 25 meters, a team of young researchers from various Dutch universities is creating a digital 3D model of unique 16th-century ceiling paintings. This is the first time in the Netherlands that a 3D model of this type and scale is being employed for scientific research, as well as for the conservation and restoration of this unique and highly fragile heritage.

This project was organized in collaboration with Landelijke Onderzoeksschool Kunstgeschiedenis (OSK), Factum Foundation, Stichting Grote Kerk Naarden, Ella Hendriks, Roos Keppler, Hinke Sigmond.
