I love these videos because they allow us to see something that's no longer visible for us today. But at the same time, it makes me really sad we lost this wonderful places..

Hadrian had a reputation for unconventional architectural taste, and it certainly shows here. There are forms & arrangements in the palace's structure you don't see anywhere else in the Roman world.

But I will say, the effect is spectacular. Good taste, it seems, never goes out of fashion.

Thank you so much. I feel transported back to Hadrian's time. Thankfully you showed the marble sculptures as painted as they were in ancient times, not stark white as our eyes have been accustomed to. Comprehensive and beautiful as well. Thumbs up!

Lord, it makes me wish all these glorious places still existed intact today. Modern architecture has nothing, absolutely, nothing on what the ancients could enjoy every day of their lives. I so, so, hope these looks and styles can be restored and enjoyed again, today.

I've visited the area of Hadrian's villa a few times and always tried to imagine how it might have looked some 2, 000 years ago. The area is massive and the remains so interesting.

God its so beautiful why can't we have architecture like this anymore? It feels more alive, more comfortable than these nasty square buildings with no color or life.

Such a beautiful piece of work and restoration recreated for us to enjoy. I really love how the statuary is depicted fully painted in vibrant colors the way the Romans actually had them. My favorite part was the hallway of the Piazza d’oro with the fine linens hanging in the archways gently blowing in the wind it made me really feel like I was there.
