Finding the lost graves of Doc and Pliant Mahon-Prisoners of Hatfield McCoy feud-West Virginia

Doc and Pliant Mahon or Mayhorn were players in the famous Appalachian Hatfield and McCoy feud. They were married to Devil Anse Hatfield's nieces. They were involved in the 3 McCoy boys murders as well as the new years day cabin burning and murder of 2 more of Randall McCoy's children. I'm not saying they killed them. I'm saying they were around. They eventually did time in prison, then got out to resume life.
Once they died they seemed to vanish as far as where they are buried.
Leo sets out to find Pliant's wife in Beech creek West Virginia, and hope she leads him to them.
Get some popcorn this will be quite a ride!

The highway to nowhere! It is absolutely beautiful up there. When I come home to Omar, WV, I drive up there and pull off the road just to see the beautiful mountains. Thanks, Leo and Heather ❤❤

Those are my great grandparents Jake and Tennessee Cisco!! This is the first time I’m ever seen their graves. It’s a shame the condition of the graves but still cool to see!

Leo, this is o exciting! You are traveling on a beautiful and scenic highway. Heather does an awesome job with the research. She should do this for a living possibly doing genealogies for families. Thank you.

My grandma, Allie (Mahon) Hill, is probably some kin to these. I remember her talking about them back when I was growing up. She was born in 1910 and died in 1998. Thanks for the tour of these ancestors of ours. Hi Phillip, good videos! lol

The effort you both put into these videos is amazing. Leo, the excitement in your voice when you discover what you’re looking for just adds that much more to the story. And you’re right, that cannot be done sitting in front of a computer. Your ‘adventures’ are very much appreciated!!

Leo/Heather, I appreciate and respect all of the work you put into your videos. I have learned a ton from them. Since you have educated me, I want to share a nugget of information with you. There are right angles in nature with the most common being salt crystals.

So interesting. Heather & Leo if a cemetery or person is lost and can be found you will find it. You never give up. Persistence & determination should be your middle names! Excellent work. You never disappoint me ❤️. Leo you worry me no end with your mountain goat adventures. I'm always afraid you'll have a heart attack. Be careful and safe travels.

Great walk back in time, one question does anyone know where Alifairs grave is located. Just asking as that would also be a great find also. It's a shame that the tombstones weren't better built to last the test of time. I know these folks did the best they could by their love ones. Times were hard and money was hard to come by. Thanks Leo and Heather for all you do.
