Thanks for this I bought maybe 900$ or more worth of big fish games and I can’t play them on my new computer because Catalina doesn’t support 32 bit games. I need to download a old os before Catalina to play them. I was considering buying a refurbished computer with a old os but if this works I hopefully won’t have to.

I downloaded macos catalina and it basically tanked the performance of my old mac, i tried togo back to mojave but the download from the appstore would go.80%, say it downloaded all the necessary gbs and then give me an error msg about installation failed error occurred while installing

iCloud states it won’t show some deleted files because I have updated my system and the only way to get to those lost files is getting back to Big Sur. Thanks for the link and it seams to be working the download of big sur for me.

i need help.
so my imac was originally macOS Sierra 10.12 or something like that and i wanted to update it because I wanted to play this new game I got. I needed something that was above version 10.12. So i updated it to macOS Catalina 10.15. but now I'm not able to play this other game because it isn't supported on Catalina 10.15.
So now i'm trying to get it back to Sierra. Is there a solution?

Well that is almost what I need, and interestingly enough we are in a somewhat similar boat, both needing to do so for an Avid product; however mine is not Pro Tools, but Media Composer.

Avid MC is supported on a couple versions of Monterey, but I can’t seem to find the specific ones I need, which are 12.0.0, 12.1.0, and 12.1.0. I’m noticing that it seems that as Apple continues not to e- but to Devolve, they no longer offer the original base Os and have instead of providing their customers with more options, they have of course taken them AWAY.

If you have even the slightest idea how I may be able to find what I need, other than calling Apple of course, I would deeply appreciate it.


I have an iMac and it’s the worst Mac I’ve ever had and even worse than some versions of Windows I’ve cut on, despite it’s being a wholly loathsome system in my opinion and experience. This platform and their software is becoming even more despicable to me due to what has been their betrayal of creative arts professionals over the years from once having consulted closely with us, and to churning out worse and worse products. Tim Cook is unfit to run a portable shithouse, let alone the former premiere computer corporation.
