Short version, you replace your current files with the old files <go offline> start the game from anywhere you want cause it only sees the old version. I've just landed on a new 'old' planet from 16 Dec 2016. Happy!! Thank you Z1 and the person who put the explanation on Stream.

I subbed as well, thanks. I was getting confused on the numbers but i'm currently redownloading the latest 7.1 for satisfactory. Don't get me wrong, i like satisfactory but i just enjoy building and update 7 with the mods is way more fun than update 8 with no mods. Also the fact that update 8 didn't really update anything good except the vehicles not bouncing, everything else you could get from mods which i think the devs for satisfactory are just lazy. Update the game but do nothing that mods have already done.

This doesn't work anymore, since Steam has removed the functionality. You have to use third-party software to download old versions now.
