I love how sai duck when naruto took out his sword. He act fast and he was like " go ahead use my sword". Naruto also act fast when he duck sai's wide range kick. Also the double kick sakura took has a very devastating damage.

Naruto and Sai are in Sync here. Then fckn Sakura was with Naruto since Genin Days. Didn't know what to do at the Confrontation lol.

Classic scene in why people keep calling Sakura useless when she's definitely much stronger than Sai even at this point.

Sai was situationally aware, he immediately started swaying to the side to flank Omoi and Karui, while simultaneously noticing Naruto draw his sword, so he ducked first to it could come out faster. All of this without taking his eyes of the enemy once.

Sakura, on the other hand, had no game sense here. The fact that Naruto had to nudge her out of the way, making him waste a precious movement in a direct confrontation, shows her incompetence. Sakura doesn't block Omoi's kick, and doesn't do anything at all to catch herself when shes flying, causing Naruto to save her.

You could've written this scene to have Sakura be competent without it evolving into a full scale fight. Simply have her step to the side, out of Naruto's way, on her own. Then have her block Omoi's kick, still get sent flying, but land on her feet; confirming to Naruto that she was all good.

Such a small interaction, but still a vital one that has continued supporting why so many people continue calling Sakura useless.

The first 18 seconds of this was some of the finest team choreography I've seen. Sai ducks to assist sword pull as Naruto pushes Sakura and spins to generate force to deflect blade. Uses spin momentum to pivot into second cloud nin and block sword draw with elbow. Uses elbow position to summon clone. First cloud nin feints a forward thrust only to roll over teammate and go for slash from new positioning. Naruto clone catches blade as Sai and Sakura got flank. Second cloud nin uses the back of the First to evade Sai's kick, then spins to kick Sakura away. Pushes off of his teammate so that First cloud nin gets extra speed to close distance and elbow strike the clone. This whole sequence was smooth af. 👏

Sakura was portrayed so embarassingly here. She's supposed to be the team's most capable melee fighter because she has the strongest muscles. But she failed to do anything substantial and is actually the first to get off commission in a 3 v 2 upset.
