I slipped and fell into a lifeboat 😅 Dude that's crazy. He needed a life sentence jumping into a life boat.
Wasn't nothing mysterious about that.

captain shittino as he is now known, was on dry land six hours before the last of his passengers were, the coast guard demanded he go back to his stricken ship to help the passengers but he refused, when asked why he boarded the first life raft he said he fell in it and hurt his leg and could not get out of it, he was seen running away from reporters 12 hours later, he broke protocol many times during the ships collision with a clearly marked rock and he gave the wheel to a man who could not speak English even though all orders were in English, he cared more about his looks than his passengers, what is really amazing is the fact that he was in charge of a liner of this size in the first place, he had a history of womanising and drinking, should maybe been captain of a tug, charged with manslaughter and jailed for 12 years I think, the company should have also had some of its people jailed, they gave him the captaincncy knowing his track record, seems its who you know not what you know in shipping, worth remembering wen booking a cruise, P&O are the strictest owners known, one toot and you are oot, with P&O, no second chances never 5th or 6th like shittino had,

im pretty sure that if u are a captain of a ship u can not leave ur ship and that the only way to get off a ship is to make sure that ur crew and passengers are off that sinking ship i heard a similar story like this

In the great words of jack sparrow: "if that ship is to be sunk properly, then you should be sunk with it"

This is what being arrogant and overconfident of your abilities will lead to, doesn't matter how many years you've done it if you grow to cocky your bound to fuck up

Captain makes a perfect fall in the lifeboat, inside an empty space in a lifeboat without smashing into any passengers, and without any physical injuries sustained!

He tells the passengers, hi I’m the captain, just want to make sure everyone on this lifeboat is absolutely fine, and if there is anything I am do.

I like to buy his side of his story for a dollar!.

Schettino went on to say he shouldn’t be held accountable for the 32 dead since they died from the sinking and not the impact….
BROTHER THATS LIKE SAYING MURDERERS SHOULDN’T BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR BULLETS

When I go on a Cruise, I go on an Italian liner because they don't play that "women and children first".

The guy manning the steering wheel had very poor English skills…. And did not know is left from his right… the captain ignored the issue and did a complex maneuver near the coast. The man on the steering wheel did not speak up that he was confused… out of fear of being fired.
