This video was perfect, by the way. This is a MUCH better video than Schluter's for the same purpose. If you put "No Access to Plumbing" in the title, it'd probably get even more views.

Finally! I’ve spent a week looking for a descriptive video for these drains. The “instruction” manual, and Schluter videos, are worthless.

I just want one DIY video that doesn’t require 10 different tools that only serve one purpose

Great videos! Is there a way to install a drain connector to a 2inch ABS riser coming through the concrete that is not perfectly vertical? I typical ABS welded connection to that pipe would end up with an 1/8 inch deflection from horizontal at the drain surface :(

I am curious why you don't set the white insert first to ensure proper thinset coverage, and then install the drain. It seems like it would accomplish the same task, but potentially easier to set the insert first.

Can you use the grey shims of the flange or the white foams from the pan to measure how much to cut ?

Why Do you have to break the spacer out of the shower pan first? Why can’t you just install the shower pan with the spacer and then install the drain?

Thanks for the video! How big should the hole in the playwood be? Looks like 3.5-4 inches in your video. Thanks!

I have this and read the instructions and don't understand why I wouldnt thinset first then press the drain into the thinset, same as with plumbing access 🤷‍♂️

I did exactly this but my flange is too low now. After installing the shower pan and the circle fleece, the flange is about 1/4" too thin. Can I simply add 1'4 thin set to that area when tiling?

Very informative. Would like to see you continue the installation of the rest of the base

So can you leave the foam there? Iv seen to many videos where the person leaves that foam there muds it into place with the drain
