Inside My Fridge! No.10 British English Lesson #Shorts

Feeling peckish? We are going to dive into my kitchen and see what’s inside my fridge.
This is the 10th British English lesson in this #Shorts series. All these lessons are under one minute long but are cram packed full of common everyday English.

I know everyone is going to ask about my use of the word shop (“I had a shop delivered”). Natives often refer to the item bought while shopping as “a shop”. We say: I’ve done a shop. I’ve got a shop coming tonight. We recently had a big shop dropped off.

Do let me know in the comments section if you have any questions about this, and feel free to leave feedback or suggestions for future lessons.

No matter how big the manufacturers make fridges, they're never big enough. The bigger they are, the more we fill them up.

Because I enjoy doing this to random foodies on YouTube... 😁😁😁😁

This (British?) lady seems to like (as far as I can tell):

Milk
Cheese
Jam
Hummus
Soup
Apples. (Pears?)
(Oranges? Bananas? Strawberries?)
Juice
Yogurt (and Dairy Free Yogurt!)
Mayo
Guacamole
Gnocchi
Quiche
Olives
Pie
Pizza
Fish
Meat (Luncheon Meats?)
Salad/Veggies (Carrots/Celery/Cucumber/Tomato, etc. I'm guessing, plus some kind of Lettuce, etc. Cauliflower? Broccoli? Other veg.?)
Bread and Butter? (Buttah? 😁)

Me (an American dude in the Northwest USA):

Chicken
Beef
Pork
Eggs
Salmon
Apples
Nectarines
Grapes
Oranges
Plums
Some kind of Berry
Broccoli (frozen)
Green Beans (frozen)
Celery
Carrots
Zucchini/Yellow Squash
Onions
Bok Choy or Cabbage (or Collards, etc.)
Avocado
Sriracha Sauce
Soy Sauce
Tartar Sauce

Then my herbs/spices, nuts, non-freezer/fridge stuff, etc. Kyani supplements, etc.

Veg, Fruit, Nuts/Seeds/Nut Butters, and Meat/Poultry/Fish/Egg does it for me, along with the supplements. 😊👍

I ❤ SHORT VIDEOS ❗ THX ANNA ! A question: any difference between "condiment" and "dressing"? A remark : the pronunciation of "gnocchi" is with the "gn" sound (I know you don't have that sound...)
