And you're right, typography should get a revision

Couldn't agree more about line width. It has driven me nuts for a long time. I'll add that images (especially ones in portrait orientation are MASSIVE in large mode and tiny in small mode). I think it would make sense to add a line width slider.

The transcribe would only be useful if it can recognise that there are two people or more on the recording. This is what Microsoft does very well in word

Sir when i write something in apple note, the new features automatically autocorrect the letters but it is frustrating because lots of time its change it to some other words or replace it with other letter .. can u help me to fix it..

Great video, thanks. Can you tell me if you can 'Lock' an Apple note with attachments (e.g PDF attached) in IOS18? You can't do this in IOS17.

One feature, yet to be in Apple Notes, is the highlight a search result. Often search is very quick, but doesn’t show where in the note or attachment the result actually is. Can be frustrating if result is in a pdf attachment that a few pages long.

Thanks Peter, have watched this again. Is there a way to change the headings. sub headings, body styles so they are permanent. I want to use a different font, size and Demi-bold not bold. If there is not, Apple should give us this flexibility. I have decided to move from Agenda and bear at this time. Both apps that I love, but Notes can do the job now. Not sure why I have a weird user handle.

Need Link Back/Return button

I appreciate the new "Add Link" feature in the Notes App on iOS 17.

I see iOS 18 added a Recent Notes option that lets you get back to the closed originating note in the Notes List.

However, it would be incredibly useful to have a "Link Back/Return" button that takes you back to the opened originating note, at the spot where they did the linked from.

This would enhance the user experience by making navigation between linked notes more seamless, similar to how web browsers and email apps handle links.

Hi Peter, really nice video, definitely the Apple Notes App is getting better and smarter. However, just how you mention at the of your video, Apple need to work on the typography on the app on all the devices; I do really love the Notes app, it pack a lot of useful functions but the main thing that keep me away is how the text is showed on bigger devices, I hate how wide the text looks on the iPad and Mac, it makes me feel extremely messy and that's the main reason of why I'm still sticking to Bear as my main notes apps. I'm really waiting for a better text distribution on Notes App, I hope they add something like that soon.
