God of badminton. World will never see another badminton player like him. Every sport has it's legends. Some are born with the talent(Taufik Hidyat) others reach that level by sheer hard work(Lee Chong Wei) rarely a champion born with those combined. Honorable example Garry Kasparov, Roger Federer, Jan O Waldner. Mostly other legends will melt with the time. Brian Lara(Cricket), Stephen Hendry(Snooker), Zhang Jike(TT), Ronaldhino(Footbal). But Lin Dan for some reason even after achieving everything had a different mind set. Always changed his style, adapted his play, worked really hard and self motivated and evolved through out the years in his nearly 20 year badminton life span. True he is not in his prime any more(slowed down due to inevitable aging) though he still plays till date. Apart from his legendary status I admire his champion mind set. Once a legend always a legend. A true inspiration....Hats off. Soon he will call it a day. But people will remember him for ever for who he was. The greatest single badminton player of all time.

I admire how he changes his strategies and tactics every match according to his opponent's. Though with much less power and speed but more efficiency and conservation. I'm glad he still has fighting spirits in him after all the achievements he had in his CV.

Chen Hong was incredible on defence in the second and third sets of the 2005 all england final. Lin Dan in the first set was the stuff of legend. Amazing final overall that year.
