I expected Alex to announce he believed in Jesus after his opening statement. He basically gave a fantastic Bible study for his first twenty.

I hope we christians won't just look at this for entertainment purposes but to wake us up to study our Bibles and do more research. The worst that would happen is to meet a person like Alex who knows the Bible more than most Christians who might not be as gentle as him and have our faiths shaken.

This debate is exactly what debate should be. It isn't simply about who "wins" and who "loses, " although that does happen often, but largely due to a couple common mistakes -- lack of preparation, or overabundance of personal agenda and bias (or both). Rather, debate always should be, and always has intended to be, about a discussion attempting to open the eyes of those listening to a better understanding of truth.
