If you’re doing it in your bathroom I would highly recommend making/using a still air box (SAB). Bathrooms tend to have more mold and mildew than any other room. Even though you sterilize the air with Lysol, any hand gestures or small amount of air flow could cause any floating microbes to potentially contaminate your spawn. Hope you’ve found success in this brilliant tek 🙏🏼

Dude, they changed the recipe... too much moisture. Use off brand 90-second rice... will be far more successful.

Amazon has a $30 plastic foldable still air box designed for this, with the hand holes. It's not the best thing you can get but it's better than not having one. Just rub the inside with 70% alcohol. Also use individually packaged alcohol pads when cleaning your needle, and don't rub the actual needle if it's fresh from the package

Bathrooms and kitchens are the worst place for contaminants, the amount of mould spores in these areas are much higher than if you were to do it in another room.
Bathrooms particularly need ventilation as spores can reach tens of thousands per cubic meter especially if you see mould visible.
