Do you have to drain the water supply line from the lake or does it drain back through the outdrive when you are on land? This is the rubber hose that leads to the water pump from the transom

I broke the bottom quick connect one and can’t get that elbow piece where it connects to off any help???

Do you know where the drain plugs are on a 1986 mercruiser 120 hp? The guy I bought it from said there are 3 drain plugs. I know where the boat drain plug is, right below the lower unit on transom. I need to know where they are on the motor. He said he took them out to winterize. I saw 1 brass plug in the glovebox, where he put it for the winter. Someone said you could sink the boat if those plugs are missing. Help.

The one on my manifold is so corroded when I pulled it out I cannot thread a new plug in.. any ideas? I debated using a tap/die kit but I'm unsure how much work is involved in pulling the whole manifold off

I am in the process of winterizing my boat. I have a bolt/plug not a petcock on the block. I believe it may be rusted on, and I seem to have rounded off the edges on the bolt, (came off just fine last winter) so am not able to use a wrench because there is nothing left for it to grab. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on what I can do to get it off? Because of the placement of it, I can't really use vice-grips.

I just bought a boat with this engine and the plug on the bottom of the manifold is completely missing. Do you happen to have any idea what size it is?
