The primary cause of the housing shortage is a surplus of people needing housing and that is caused by mass-immigration by whatever route be it legal immigration or fake asylum seekers. The population of the UK has been remarkably stable until recently. In 1963 the population was 53.6 million. In 1983 it was 56.3 million. In 2003 it was 59.3 million. In 2023 it was 67.7 million and that figure is widely acknowledged as a lie and 84% of the increase is from immigration. Between 1963 and 2003 the population rose by less than 5 million over 40 years. Over the next 20 years it rose by over 8 million. This is shameful.
