Started seeking knowledge late, should I memorise mutoon or read books extensively? Saleh Al Usaymi

We can learn from Sheikh Saleh's reply:

A. A person should not be diverted from seeking knowledge thinking that he is too old.

B. (1) Memorizing and (2) Understanding are the two pillars of seeking knowledge, so neither should be neglected.

C. Memorizing and developing a strong understanding of the mutoon is more beneficial then extensive reading of long books.
