The problem is that the mobs given cater to completely different sides of the community. The mob vote wouldn’t be as controversial if they gave us 3 mobs that do very similar things but have slightly different designs and applications. That way we don’t have the builders arguing with the speed runners etc. All of the mobs presented are incredibly useful in game but for very different reasons. I’m imagining a mob vote that’s like
“ok all of these mobs can be used for exploring caves and digging one is a mole, one is a worm and one is a giant ant.”
That way we don’t loose any cool features, we only gain different mobs.

I love the mob vote and the whole community aspect of it. But by presenting 3 very different very amazing mobs, no matter what, people are going to be unhappy about lost features.

For The Next Mob Vote Bring Back The Old Mobs From The Previous Mob Votes And Make It Like The Community Can Choose 2-3 Mobs From That One Voting To Join The Game At Once.

The Community Hates The Fact Of Choosing Only One Mob So That Could Be Great For Everyone.

The reason why people don't like the mob vote is because Mojang is unintentionally telling players what ISNT being added to the game rather than what they are getting added to the game. What went well once cant be done over and over again otherwise players begin to regret choosing a certain mob after have getting used to it.

I can't believe we traded an extremely useful construction tool for useless dog armour. Wolves are generally used as pets, kept safe at home. It is very irrational to use them in combat.
Instead, building is what we do most of the time in Minecraft. The most failed vote in the history of the game
