Why Does MY FL Studio Have a Crackling Noise & How to Fix it

Sometime you might find that FL Studio has a popping and crackling sound when playing back, Or samples might sound distorted and not how they did before. It's a weird sound problem to have when you dont know about it. There's a few reasons these thing can occur. Almost all are due to playback settings. So in this video I will show you some of the settings to check out to fix the problem and how to remove those pop, crackles and clicks in FL Studio. @FL_STUDIO

Worked PERFECTLY! Thank you so much. My Buffer Rate and Sample Rate needed to be adjusted. Now no clicks or pops. That isht was driving me INSANE. Cheers!

Im brand new to music software, and my notes sound static whenever I place them… None of the solutions here worked for me unfortunately. Maybe I need a different CoreAudio device? Im using my Airpod Maxes but I don’t know if I’m supposed to be or not. Your efforts are appreciated, thanks for your time.

for me it was the safe overloads. overruns were already at 0 but still had clicks. turning off safe overloads got rid of it. edit: they're still there on the export though, what's with that ?

I wish i had someone like you as a roommate. I make FIRE Acid Trance, and they realy do sound good! However, I don't think i know EVERYTHING there is to know. There is SO much to learn on FL Studio. When i first started making beats, i quickly learned that an Audio interface (external sound card) was WAY necessary

so those were all my settings already and i didnt change any of them. My FL studio just started doing the crackling randomly even on a new project just hitting the keys for the kick drum. any idea what could have caused this?

I did all this with no change BUT

1. Used CCleaner to clean my registry up (save a backup!)
2. Restarted my computer
3. Reopened FL with the settings he recommended
4. Checked my plugins... View > Plugin Performance Monitor

After that it was fixed. Idk which step did it or why but I hope that helps someone else! And thanks for the video 😊

What if you’re getting the crackling sound AFTER you export the track ? That’s the issue I’m having. My sessions sound perfect but when I export the track there is tons of static and noise. What should I do ?
