Thanks so much Jennifer for doing such great tutorials. You speak at just the right pace, some are way too fast, your voice is clear and I never watch your video with an extra question as you explain everything. I am experimenting with machine appliqué fun when it works from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺

Such great tips on machine applique! I loved the close-ups from the sewist's point of view and these tips you gave: 1) You used the points of your small scissors to show how a narrow zig-zag stitch should slowly and carefully move from just inside the applique fabric to just inside the background fabric; 2) showing us by example how slowly you actually do the stitch yourself to do it accurately (patiently, patiently, patiently) - "you spent a lot of time preparing your applique pieces; this is not the time to hurry it at the end"; 3) the advice from sewing machine repairmen to NOT use monofilament thread in the bobbin thread/case (use coordinating fabric thread), but it's okay to use monofilament thread in top thread spindle; 4) "please, please practice on a scrap piece of fabric". All such valuable information. Thanks!

I watched your tutorials for applique~Very well done, thank you! I have been wanting to try this and I think I will try a small project now with confidence and that I can make something nice! I think I will start with the hand sewing part and work my way up to my sewing machine.

Thank you for your tutorials! You are a great teacher. I was so apprehensive about trying... but you gave me the courage to give it a try! Thank you, thank you! If I use the monofilament thread, what should the upper tension of my machine be?

TFS your tips and techniques for machine applique! I enjoyed watching your videos for a refresher as it has been years since I appliqued. What is the width and length of your narrow zigzag? TIA :)

It looked as though when you came to your stopping point at the zigzag you just cut off your thread without tying it off on the back?

How do you keep it straight and not get wonky? I'd be tempted to look at the needle the entire time but surely that wouldn't be good haha.

Do you use a stabilizer on the back of your blocks?

What kind of thread do you use in the bobbin if silk thread is not recommended?
