Glad to hear Blue is staying. While you might not be sentimental about it, I am. I was moved by your discussion on mental health while working on Blue. As a person who has spent many hours working on my guitars and contemplating life, I felt quite a connection. The dual quest for serenity and tone.

It's rare that when a guy buys something new it brings a tear to my eye because he deserves it so much. To be clear, I didn't cry too hard (it's the sentiment I'm implying), however, think about it: your buddy buys a car he's wanted - no big deal; your buddy buys a new apartment, you're stoked but no big deal. But damn Michael, you've had most of us TPS viewers hoping this would happen one day, even if it was in our subconscious. Well deserved and very well earned through your 25 years. Congrats on a lifer.

In my experience, life is all about rewarding consistency over a long period of time. It seems that you have consistently sought the same thing for a long enough period of time that life has granted you what you desire, all at once. I hope life does the same for all of us. Thank you for sharing with us you victory. You definitely deserve it.

At around 38:00 mins in Mick touches upon a point of an open mindedness of the appeal of different amp sounds which really is a deep point to make.. All these glorious amp sounds are something to embrace individually. Such an important point to make.. "horses for courses" articulates these preferences/appeals of designs so well.. "something that these amps do/does that could not possibly be reproduced by ev's & a cranked power amp" although each is glorious is really a question of "what do you want really?" which reminds me of how insightful and plainly these points are made so effortlessly by these two. As specific as these subjects are i am regularly impressed by the natural breakdown of this whole pursuit of technology combining with inspiration to produce a truly wonderous tonal outcome. The most important and fun/relaxed interpretation of the subject I cease to tire of.. thanks so much for the honest and unpretentious breakdown of these ideas.. it truly helps so many people discover and articulate important points we often all struggle to identify with. A service that is cherished and appreciated. thank you guys.. Phil.

Love dan working on Peg! I spent years trying to execute the solo correctly then correctly and smoothly especially the last flurry—thousand hours on that 3 seconds alone. Top 5 guitar solos of all time. The outro solos that fade out are epic too.

Got to say that is one very pretty strat. Forget the specs, forget the playability, forget the tone, it just looks sensational. Well done.

What a journey this has been! Congrats Mick on all the great purchases (quite a couple of weeks for you I might add) Also deserving of recognition would be Catherine for being an absolute Saint, and Simon Green for selling Mick the glorious '61. I reckon we'll all be richer for hearing it played week in and week out and launching me into single coil fourth dimension!

Congratulations on the new/old Strat Mick! I admit I teared up when I heard. That’s amazing. Enjoy it.

20:00 This is actually kind of important. The only time a guitar signal should be actually stereo is if you're mixing a guitar part on a record. When you're talking about playing guitar live, you need to do just what you said. You have to build your sound as multiple mono signals that are as easy for FOH to mix as possible, or as wonderful as possible at any position of the room for gigs without a PA. This is the same reason DJ's and electronic musicians ONLY perform in mono. You need to be able to hear that bassline in the context of the rest of the track from every seat in the house.
