does anyone else just look at their pedal board for a minute, then close the lid? I also do it with my guitars, while im waiting for the kettle to boil. not all the time, just sometimes.

Mick, if you don't want that ding on the horn of the strat to be 3-dimensional (as it is now), but want to bring it back so just the finish damage shows without actually changing the shape much, put some tap water on it for 20 minutes or so -- several large drops that together cover the ding if you can stand it up so they stay on it, or else a really damp rag hanging over it. Because the finish has probably been cracked by the ding, the moisture should make its way into the wood and swell it back up again, good as new.

Wow! I just now reconfigured my 4 cable to a 12" amp into two (much cheaper) 10" ones for wet dry and am astounded with the the overall clarity and room filling. It truly is better than stereo which is what I had initially set them up for. Thanks for the reminder of your revisiting and clarifying usages of wet/dry and the variations thereof.

The get people in to share the experience sounds great. There was great joy in, for example, the Rabea heavy tones or the Simon Neal episodes just watching the pair of you having a crack at something outside the norm!

John Fogerty had a voice that I always thought, where does that come from.

I don't know how much time you have for comments from Q&A, but OMG, you mentioned Sam Harris. Please see Lex Friedman's interview with him. He's just a force of nature. Also, love the bit about you guys as tone buddies. More of the problem solving you have done for Ansley is certainly in order. That whole journey has been so inspiring. You are totally legends and tone buddies - but so much more to many of us. Thank you so much for your clever way to have a good time on YouTube w/o getting in so much trouble for buying gear.

Mike from Russian Circles has a bunch of different gain stages that he changes from different layers with a looper. The frequency changes helps cut through against each other.

Love you guys! Thanks Mick and Dan for the never ending deep dives :) Dan calls it "playing with Dynamics", Mick calls it "playing with Dynamic" (no you have it correct sir: it is properly said to be "playing with dynamicS" - plural. 🤘🇦🇺 🍺

On the topic of "bedroom volumes", I use a Magnatone Super 15 that has a built-in speaker simulator and DI, so I can overdrive the amp head without a cabinet, and listen at low volume on studio monitors (it also takes headphones). Not many amps have this feature, but because you're pushing tubes, it feels closer to a "loud amp" than an amp sim pedal. It'd be cool to see a Magnatone on the show, and to consider amp DI in the "bedroom volume" conversation.

Not sure why you all have a bit of a blind spot for BJFe - a classic boutique brand and maker of the Honey Bee that’s come up a few times and has been attributed to Barefoot FX, if at all. It’s BJFe. Not Bearfoot. Bearfoot was a later collaboration with Don Rusk in the US that’s now dissolved. All of the designs are and were those of Bjorn Juhl. He deserves to be shouted out here for the pioneer, innovator and absolutely lovely person that he is. :)

One similar relevant relic on the strap side horn of my mim burst strat from a radial bigshot vibrating off an amp.

About cars and guitars: my perfect gig car from 1989-97 was a 1980 Volvo 240 DL (we called it a wagon, but it was a 245 technically) Guitars, PA, rig and monitor wedges and mic stands in a box tied on top.

Loopers are great for dialing in amps and pedals if you put them first in the chain. Also - I need to say the Rosanna interlude was awesome!
