Recently, the financial tycoon George Soros has been highly critical of China’s economy, saying that the current Chinese president Xi Jinping is becoming more and more authoritarian, and is closing up the economy in China. Soros has also criticised one of the world’s largest asset managers, the BlackRock, for its recent decision to increase their investment in China. Strange enough, in the past, Soros had openly praised China for having a “vigorous economy”, and its government is also better functioning than the US. So why the change in his words? In our last episode, we talked about the real estate market in China, showing you how much of a bubble it is. Today, we will have a look at the Chinese economy -- and we will try to see how the Chinese economy came to this point today. And where it might be heading.

Impressive presentation & content. Well done Faye. Free market needs to be regulated by independent regulatory laws & regulators otherwise monopolistic immoral forces take over the market
