Back in 2002 I ran into an Apache in the mountains of Utah training for Afghanistan. I did not hear it until it popped up over the tree line right in front of me with its gun staring right at me. It scared the shit out of me and I knew it wasn't going to shoot at me so I can only imagine what the Afghans felt when it was turning their comrades into pink mist.

Apaches were the ones to first attack Iraq during the Gulf War. They flew nap of the earth into Iraqi territory, and took out several parts of its air defense systems, enabling the Air Force to launch the air war against Iraq. And also the US Army only has about 600-800 Apaches, not 2, 200.

It's an over-engineered, over-complicated, over-priced P.O.S! If you want to fly 3, you have to try to start 5. The Bell Cobra can fly circles around it. Bell's newer Viper can do it twice. There are many reasons the Marine DON'T use the Apache.
