The true owner of L.A. Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani's historic homer is being challenged. A teen claims the ball was snatched out of his hand during a tussle. In a lawsuit, Max Matus says the ball was taken from him as a result of civil battery. The accusation is leveled at fellow baseball fan Chris Belanski. The lawsuit says the teen firmly had possession of the ball and claims Belanski "wrapped his legs around Max's arm and used his hands to wrangle the ball out of Max's hand, stealing the ball for himself." The auction house says it believes the lawsuit is without merit and it is confident that Belanski is the true owner of the ball.

If that ball was snatched from the kid, shame on the dude and company selling.

So you're saying that taking candy from a baby is okay because it doesn't have their name on it.

It’s a ball.
But it looks like it was stolen from the kid in red.

Kid was never in posession of the ball. Watch the full video of the scuffle and y’all will understand.

there isn't a single video out there that shows this kid had his hands on the ball first so tough cookies. should've dropped your phone and placed both hands on it.

Life lesson for the younger generation, put the phone down you’ll miss out on life 😂 and a baseball is free game .

It’s going to be a multimillion dollar ball and the kid didn’t drop his phone out of his hand to get 2 hands on it?

If the judge grants an injunction the auction stops.

The guy in the black shirt already had the ball in his hands before the teen started reaching for it, in the full video. This is a prime example of why you shouldn’t believe everything you see on the internet. The video only shows the clip towards the end, trying to paint the guy in black as the villain.

Kid wouldn’t even drop his phone and wants us to believe he had that thing lol

The guy that wanted the ball more was the one that got it. Good for him.
