MY portfolio has good companies, however they have been red all this year. This is my first year of investing and have been down 35% in the March/April sell off, and now down 17% in this sell off. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me nervous and sad. I don't know if I should sell everything or just sit and wait.

Another great video, Alex. Cool to see your portfolio. It's a great selection of smart choices. SE, UPST, CRWD, NET are the ones I know best, great picks. It's cool too that you're not worried about the huge drops – which is the same as my port and everyone else too. But cool that you have the stomach for it, as Peter Lynch says, it's the most important part of the body for investing. It's unfortunate that analysts and most institutional investors determine company valuation based on news events and not on the company itself. Most hedge fund managers nowadays probably don't even know how to look at a balance sheet or income statement, they just listen for events like "OMG Jerome Powell just said something about rate hikes – sell, sell, sell." Thus tanking stock prices well below correct valuations and causing us to lose our wealth, but just temporarily, hopefully.

I'm from Southeast Asia and Shopee is basically in a duopoly with Lazada. I'm both a seller and a buyer in both platforms. Lazada was first in the game but Shopee quickly caught up. Shopee is definitely better both from seller side and buyer side.

I personally love Meta's group of apps.

Being targeted with ads and products on sale which i actually want or am interested in, easily connecting with friends and family, getting an insight into the sports stars and celebs i am interested in, easily organising events with reminders in a few clicks, selling and buying second hand goods the list goes on.

Their price will get back to where it was and go further but others you mentioned might get there quicker so its probably not a bad trade.

Facebook and Meta is only going to get bigger.
