Pop OS 22.04 vs Ubuntu 22.04: RAM Usage

You've just run apt install htop on pop os and you've never mentioned which pop os version has been using if it is nvidia one it might needs more memory for the drivers even though not been using. This is unreliable test.

Pop shop constantly running in the background might be the cause of higher RAM usage in Pop os.

Strange, I'm currently running Ubuntu 22.04 and the idle ram is 1.2GB!

why is pop os using over 4gb at idle on my thinkpad with no software installed so far ^^ just caching?

I hated the performance of Pop OS it really pushed my laptop which is not old, my laptop running stock Ubuntu was fine.
