Not only can you develop an allergy to it, neosporin is an antibiotic, and most cuts and scrapes are not infected.
👉🏼So in essence, you are killing off good bacteria that lives on your skin, making you more likely to develop antibiotic-resistant infections down the line.
Fun fact: The main ingredient of Neosporin "neomycin" was named allergen of the year 2010

Why never apply Vaseline to fresh burns! Vaseline can trap heat inside of fresh burns. Maybe a few days later to help the wound healing process.

I respect raising awareness about potential ingredients causing allergies, but to promote a substitute common household product like Vaseline, petroleum jelly a petrochemical byproduct of petroleum seems like you’re selling a cheap alternative life hack than health advice. I’m happy to debate the health risks and detrimental outcomes of applying this to a minor scrape or cut that is not already dry and properly clean first for example, yet alone the long exposure to such toxins
