If I say converting $15 IEM sounds better than $250 AirPods Pro 2, would you believe me? 🤯

I loove CCA CRA for its sound performance, I used it for almost two years now. Thank you for reviewing this IEM's, sir.

I'm using the UTWS3 & 5 wireless adapters for 3 years now, and was worth every penny to me! Sometimes you just want to get rid of the cable! I've used these to drive my Meze Solo, Ikko OH-10 Obsidian, Dunu SA 6 MK2. Worked great with them!

Great video! I use the CCA CRA with the KZ AZ09 and love it! Az09 is very steady, never went out, even when I’m head banging 😅🤘🏼

nice! these adapters are definitely a cheap and easy way to improve sound quality for those who already have IEMs that they enjoy. personally i couldn't quite get into these adapters after trying the TRN BT20S Pro since the earhook portion was a little too thick for my ears (especially since i wear glass with hooks already sometimes, and then there was the period where masks were a necessity) Anyway, I've seen surprisingly cheap options like the TRN BT20XS, but haven't seen much reviews on it so not sure how they sound. Maybe like you mentioned, since the purpose for this conversion is to get the best sound quality possible, perhaps not much point in getting something cheap if it doesn't sound as good. 🤣

I want to see a band style adapter with ear hooks like we used to have on headphones back in the day.

Sorry one more thing, the AZ09 Pro has the same flexible adapter, but it’s not loose, in fact it’s pretty tight. The AZ09 “non pro” has a better construction but it’s too stiff and doesn’t have a great connection like it’s Pro counterpart

I have a small army of these AZ09 Pro's (3) and another 2 sets of the CCA BTX. The later has the same chipset and functions, but with a slightly smaller battery, snugger and sportive fit, and better sweat resistance. Only one set has failed me the last three years, a BTX that I keep as a spare (case and right earhook still function properly). They are my mainstay devices for IEM's, to include standard B-Pin's, where I've modded the AZ09 Pro's with a simple trimming of the silicone/plastic shroud...about 3mm from the leading edge of each earhook shroud. Being careful to cut a clean edge with a sharp straight razor or Exacto knife...without scoring the pins themselves. The mod results in a flush connection, as the pins are exposed to offer a deeper and secure connection with the B-Pin sockets on the IEM. I tried adapters in the past...the pins are just too thick and short...the mod proved perfect and was a no brainer.
These AZ09 Pro's can nicely power my planars (MP145, S12, PR1 HiFi) with a simple change to POWER mode (3 successive clicks to the left earhook button). Power mode does drop battery life by 15%.
I only mod the AZ09's, as the shroud on the BTX is thicker and less amenable to a simple mod. Other B-pins that have worked well w/ the AZ09Pro (for me): Hexa, modded Olina, modded HeartMirror, T3+, Lea, Castor, CCA CRA, Tangzu Wan Er.
PS: Mod at your own risk, as it voids warranty. I do this under good lighting, with a sharp razor, and I take my time (5 to 10 minutes).

I have UTWS 3 and 5 on my shelf, and both of them aren't exactly great. Why? They're still janky as hell. Due to the nature of these things, ANC is definitely a no-go (since you can't place a microphone inside the earbud's shell), transparency mode can be really harsh depending on what you plugged in, and for UTWS especially, the app is super jank, it often loses battery out of nowhere, etc. And not only that, since this thing are rather small and portable, there's also other trade-off you'll make, one of them is power. I have a raptgo hook x (planar set), and UTWS 3 just fell flat on it's face when it's connected to that. UTWS 5 can power it, but at that point, it's already a wildly expensive set to look at. Seeing Fiio's UTWS is basically the leader in this TWS conversion market, I can't imagine KZ or anyone else faring any better.

I bought it and was surprised that there was no volume control here 😂

Thanks for sharing! I love my CRA+, so I couldn't find a way out and got the AZ15. This could be the very future of IEM now that audio jacks are disappearing, and in general because modularity rocks. I like this setup in every aspect, except the static noise when you listen to quiet things like audiobooks. I guess this is no thanks to the low Ohm compared to the plain CRA and KZ pros. Did anyone else notice such static noise?
Edit: I traded the CRA+ for KZ ZVX and Kiwi Dolce to try out. Both of them do not have static noise and they overall sound better. Though I'm not sure ZVX was designed for AZ15 in mind, they weren't kidding with metal and it gets weighty. Not saying it's a dealbreaker.

Good video and interesting solution, there is another way that I saw in Ali.. is a Bluetooth cable Qcc5171/Qcc5125 comes with all Aptx and Ldac codecs, it would be nice to try it and see its quality. I also saw some new tws to see the Iqoo tws 1(vivo tws 3) or the Pro version which comes with the latest Qualcomm chips. Keep making videos of these and Greetings from Peru.

I bought the moondrop alice when you released the review for it and also a v shaped tuned jabra elite 7 pro, I think i made the right choice for both indoor and outdoor use cases.

Good video, useful for sure. I'll throw something in as well.
Recently recieved a TRN ST7 set and am thouroughly enjoying them. They are my first iem but i am no stranger to good sound. At first only used them wired, as i waited for the AZ09 PRO to be delivered. When they came i was happy to try them out, and now i am happy to have them..

..BUT, at first listen, i did notice a difference. Nothing to complain about as they fill their use case. For sure now though, i will only use them for exercise duty. They sound good, but not as good as wired, that was evident at first listen. I didn't know what exactly it was, but it was something.. i just kept using them nonetheless because of convenience.

After some back to back listening though, i hear it.. better soundstage and more clarity with the wired setup. Everything just sounds crisper and more detailed, even with Spotify at 'high' detail.

So yeah, the AZ09 PRO works great and sounds pretty darn good, but the difference IS there. Wired for everything but exercise 💪💪

In your opinion, how does the sound quality of the KZ ZS10 Pro X compare to the SoundPeats Engine 4?

Hey nice review! I'm looking for some iems that I can use wirelessly and I'm a big techno and trance fan. I'm looking for something that can handle bass well and vocals. Can you recommend any? Not overly fussed about price. Thanks

Pardon me but can you please measure the diameter of the nozzle filters of CCA CRA and Kiwi Ears Dolce. Is it 4mm or is it wider?

Try rotating the IEM in hour ear forward (anti clockwise looking at your ear feom the outside) until the bluetooth modul gets stuck between the top of your ear and the side of your head. That way it’s not moving anywhere, even with softer silicone earhooks.
