Interesting, although have you considered changing the setup of the filter system so the water doesn't mix at the over flow level?

Travis :) Hi from South Texas. I am setting up a mixed reef tank. On previous
Marine tanks I ran a heater but a friend told me he never runs a
heater. I keep my house temp set at 72 and my tank seems to be holding
steady around 74.5. But in doing some internet research I seem
to get the consistent you should be at 77. Whats your thoughts? Is 74
OK? or to low. Thanks, Semper Fi
