I'm so happy that Enya and her music exist. I've never heard anything so close to the sound of dreams as her music. ❤️

I remember hearing Orinoco Flow in so many malls and department stores as a kid in the 90s, and being unable to determine what the song was. It wasn't until about 10 years later, when I could google "Sail away sail away lyrics" that I found out the name of the song that had been stuck inside my head for so many years.

Enya is one of a kind.

For people that get angry at the fact that she lip syncs, the magic of Enya is her voice being layered in multiple tracks that gives this very distinctive sound that would almost be impossible to reproduce completely live. When she works in the studio, they are basically only 3 people, which is why it takes so much time before she releases an album. It's hard for them to trust other performers. If you listen to live performances that she did in the past, the magic is gone. Her art pieces are her albums.

Editing after 5 years: Remember, the title of this video was neither written by Warner Music or Enya’s team. I’m guessing this program was on FujiTV or another japanese channel. It’s very known that in Japan, loads of artist perform on studio tracks. Enya did sing live on a couple occasions. She did “Echoes in the Rain” on a Morning UK Television show. And like I said, the performance was just Ok... because it didn’t sound like the absolute layered perfection we hear from her recordings.

Back in elementary school, my art teacher would play Enya while we painted. Sadly, I have forgotten her name with time, but I thank her for playing it.

Enya - thank you for dedicating this song to the greatest and mythical Venezuelan river ORINOCO. This flow of water has been the inspiration of many legends and is also the setting of otherwordly landscapes.

I remember hearing this on the radio in the 80s as a child and immediately got hooked. I needed to know who/what this was and the joy I felt when I found out about it. I couldn't buy her album fast enough.

Enya, a treasure to the art of music... lip sync or not when she appears in a live performance. Her magic abounds and speaks to us all. I absolutely love her performance. She is gold.
