This recipe I find is so versatile for any other variants you can do like adding chocolate glaze, Bavarian cream, or even adding a hint of cinnamon in the dough for a bit of heat. Would also love to see a chocolate-cake donuts and donut-holes recipe for the choco-holics someday.

Oh donut holes! I can remember the first time I saw this little donuts was on an anime called as Yumeiro Patissiere!
