Homemade Glazed donuts are fluffy, airy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Making donuts is easier than you think with very little active time, and you’ll love the simple vanilla glaze.

DONUT DOUGH INGREDIENTS:
►2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting (312 gr)
►1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)
►1/4 tsp salt
►1 packet (7 grams or 2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast, quick-acting or rapid rise
►2/3 cup scalded milk and cooled to 115˚F
►1/4 oil (we use light olive oil)
►2 egg yolks, room temperature
►1/2 tsp vanilla extract

DONUT GLAZE INGREDIENTS:
►1 lb powdered sugar (4 cups)
►5-6 Tbsp water
►1 Tbsp vanilla extract

Holy moly I tried your recipe tonight and wow. This was the most soft and fluffy donuts I’ve ever made. 10 times better than any donut shop I’ve been to. I used bread flour instead of all purpose and my mind was blown away with the results. 2 thumbs up. 👍🏾 👍🏾

Hey there young lady. I am enjoying the second day effect of these delicious donuts. Made a batch yesterday after our worship services. Everything turned out just as before(2nd time making). I love the letting dough rise in the microwave with a damp towel I never knew you used that trick but great minds think alike. And those doughnuts look incredible and so fluffy. You are a genius Natasha ❤

just a little note to everyone who's thinking of making them, they brown very quickly when frying so keep a very close eye on them

My mom used to make simple donuts Swedish style in a cast iron pan and with Crisco. Just plain donuts without a bunch of stuff on them. A pinch of cinnamon gave them the superb subtle taste. Never have had anything to compare to them.
