GERMAN FOOD YOU MUST TRY IN MUNICH!

German food you must try in Munich are Schmalznudel (Bavarian doughnut), Kartoffelsuppe (German potato soup), Allgäuer käsespätzle (Bavarian mac & cheese), Weisswurst (Bavarian sausage), Kartoffelsalat (German potato salad), Brezel (pretzel), Apfelstrudel (apple strudel), and German beer.

During our Munich food tour, we tried the best Bavarian food from some of Germany’s most popular restaurants and beer taverns.

We started the day at Cafe Frischhut. It's the place to go to try Schmalznudel, which is a Bavarian style doughnut. We tried the fried dough delight along with a coffee. Close by Cafe Frischhut is the Viktualienmarkt (Victuals Market).

Viktualienmarkt is in the heart of Munich and is a popular market to buy specialty foods from Bavaria. We wandered around the market checking out the stalls. After the market, we made our way to Schneider Bräuhaus München.

Schneider Bräuhaus is one of the most traditional inns in Munich. Here we tried their traditional Bavarian wheat beer. After enjoying the authentic Bavarian atmosphere and the delicious German beer, it was time for lunch.

For lunch, we made our way to Haxnbauer. This popular Munich restaurant has plenty of traditional German dishes. Here we tried their Kartoffelsuppe (German potato soup) and Allgäuer käsespätzle (Bavarian mac & cheese). Both were outstanding! We stayed in the cozy restaurant for a few hours to catch up on work. Then it was time for dinner.

For dinner, we went to one of my favorite restaurants Hofbräuhaus München. This is one the most popular taverns in the world. From traditional Bavarian food, Bavarian music, and world famous Hofbräu beer, the atmosphere at Hofbräuhaus is one of a kind. Here we tried Hofbräu beer, a pretzel, Weisswurst (Bavarian sausages), Kartoffelsalat (German potato salad), and Apfelstrudel (apple strudel). We loved this place so much we went back the next day!

We had the best time trying German food and beer in Munich!

I went to the Hofbrauhais and had a quick mass before going to the Staasoper to see Die Frau home Schaten. It is fortunate that I was on the steheplatz, because the beer was doing it's stuff. Of course Frau first act has a slow curtain which is magical, but as the curtain hot the floor, I was able to push my way to the loo

Good video. Some constructive everyone how does Munich videos for food does the touristry places. There are some off beat places near the Alt Stadt that are less touristy and more for where locals hang out.

Loved the video but one thing I have to say is that what you ate that you called Mac n Cheese is actually very far from what an American would consider Macaroni and Cheese as there is no macaroni and not even Noodles in that dish

"Food you must try in Munich" = berries? Mac & cheese - when you could have had the pork hock option in a restaurant that practically is called "hock"?? You missed out on schnitzels, but you praise a leaf lettuce salad.. Unreal. For your next visit, do yourselves a favour and order your pretzel properly accompanied by obatzda. Also, seeing how you say you've been there before: the 1L stein ('Maßkrug or Maß') is available EVERYWHERE, not just at that tourist trap Hofbrauhaus: try visiting a proper beer garden, have bavarian chicken... I want my 12min back!
