There should be a fan team like the crowbar collective out there that should work on remaking the hl2 beta from the ground up but in the shoes of Adrian, with a new cast of characters but taking place with the storyline of the beta, and the city being renamed city 10 or 7 to keep continuity errors

Honestly, if Half Life 2 actually was released having the beta story and other stuff, it would be criticized and would possibly be banned in some countries because of it's darkness. But at the same time, I kinda wish it was fully released and completed. Or probably released as a separate game. Good thing Half Life 2 Beta mods exist. Also the lore for Half Life would be even longer af if beta released to the public since the AMOUNT of shit that was scrapped and was going to be added into the game before the whole leak HL2 leak happened.

Honestly half life 2 feels like anything but half life, most of the aliens are rather now friendly or just gone, you never go back to xen, sure the full game has half life characters and half life weapons, but if it was more like this it would be so much more like a real half life 2, and I love half life 2, just It would’ve been better as a stand-alone game, and then instead they could made this pure gold as half life 2.

in 2004 half life 2 was only half of what i expected!
i mean i beat the game in like 20 hours in 2004 but was not what i was expecting half the game seemed like it was missing!
