NASA's mission to search for signs of ancient life on Mars has sent back its first images from the surface of the Red Planet after a successful landing.

The historic moment was the culmination of a seven-month journey in space and a considerably shorter trip through the Martian atmosphere.

Well, at least the cgi is improving...
That said, my friend has actually kicked the tyres on the mars rover, .. whilst he was camping in Australia.

It still amazes me that we can hurl a big chunk of metal, glass, and plastic right out of our earth's gravitational pull across millions and millions of miles and stick a gentle touch down landing without destroying the darn thing. It's mind boggling!

Okay guys. The video isn't real. It is CGI. Because it represents what's going on, obviously. They would need a camera floating about the rover during entry and landing to make those images 😂 they need to run the simulation on data they receive so they know ahead of the 11 min lag what's going on.
