The response to this video has been huge. One of our biggest videos ever. We worked our ass off on these animations. Big shout out to Mike and Eli, our stellar animators. Also big thanks to Curiosity Stream, without them we simple would not have the budget to make something this ambitious. If you liked this video, you will love that Armstrong documentary on CS. It gives me some serious goals to work towards. Packed with information and beautiful story telling.

If you think about it, perseverance is technically a nuclear aircraft carrier

As a retired machine designer and old enough to remember Project Mercury launching the chimpanzees into space before Alan Shepard and John Glenn, this is really fascinatingly Insane Engineering. Would've been great to be a part of if. Just glad I've been able to see it thru the last 60 years. Would love to be able to see the next 60 years.

I was driving a bus when the rover landed, I had the live stream in my earpeace and as I pulled over to pick up a passenger at the end of the 7 minutes of terror as I said "good morning" I heard "touchdown confirmed"... it took every ounce of willpower to remain professional lol

I love how all the technicians in the clean room are just like
"Jerry, can I get a look"
"Tom you're doing good"

I just have to say that the production quality of the video is amazing. Not that your other videos were bad in that aspect, but this one just stands out. Truly great job guys, and an amazing episode. Thank you!

Less than 6 hours! Getting a whole new level of excitement enjoying this with my eldest now that he's old enough to understand what's going on. And watching your video will be the perfect prep. Although if he starts talking about becoming an engineer, you understand I'm unsubscribing, right?

This is by far the most interesting video I've seen in 15 years of youtube... I had to rewind several times to understand it fully.

This was such a treat to watch and get a better idea of what is being used for this mission. Thank you so much for the great video and to all the people involved in this project. To all the Engineers and teams of specialists on this mission, you are amazing.

This was great, but the plan to return the samples in 2026 is even more wild! I can’t wait for that!
