On October 21, 2021 tragedy struck on the set of the Western "Rust," which was being filmed at New Mexico's Bonanza Creek Ranch. Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza wounded after a prop gun fired, discharging a live projectile. Actor and producer Alec Baldwin was holding the gun, a .45 Colt revolver, when it fired. The shooting has raised a number of questions, including who is ultimately responsible for the tragedy, which sparked a debate over gun safety on film sets. Here's what Alec Baldwin's body language revealed during his recent ABC interview with George Stephanopoulos, according to an expert.

"Someone's responsible, but I know it's not me". Alec Baldwin.

To summarize: "Sure, I didn't check the gun to see if there were live rounds in it, sure I pointed it at her, sure I cocked the trigger and the gun fired, but I had nothing to do with it".

Anyone who knows about gun safety knows to treat a gun like it was loaded ! never point the gun at anyone ! This was just carelessness on the party of Baldwin and I see a wrongful death suit coming at least but more important like anyone else shooting another person accident or other wise this person needs to make restitution for his sloppy handling of a gun !!!

Anytime you hold a gun in your hands, you’re responsible for what’s inside of it, and what comes out of it. Basic gun safety rule.

I stand behind Alec Baldwin I just wouldn’t stand in front of him.

I'm deaf and read body language.
Alec's actually sitting there questioning himself "am I guilty?" "was this actually my doing?" "should I have checked the gun?" whilst trying to convince himself and everyone watching that this was all out of his control. In my opinion this could have been avoided and he knows it. His body language is difficult to read with him being an actor but he's also comes across as quite arrogant. His body language does show he's extremely upset about this incident but more so about what will happen. Not once does he say "Haylna" he only says "she or cinematographer", he says Matthew and Joel in the full interview but Haylna is just "she".

HE is an actor! This was well rehearsed for many days and many times. Baldwin controlled the questions and the narrative. Baldwin is unwilling to take responsibility BECAUSE he knows there are sever consequences! HE 100% pulled the trigger. He 100% failed to inspect the gun as required by the actors guild, He 100% failed to have the armorer on set AS required any time guns or props are handled, as the producer he is 100% guilty of trying to cut SAFETY budget to expedite the film schedule, as producer he is one of the 5 people required to inspect the gun or prop before given to actor! He was totally aware of how to handle guns by the very number of guns he has used on so MANY of his movies, each time following the correct process. furthermore he failed to have the required 1/2" thick plexiglass in front of the camera FOR ALL GUN HANDLING TOWARD THE CAMERA PERSON! So he is 500% guilty of gross negligence, 500% guilty of 2nd degree murder, that firearm canNOT go off without the trigger being pulled. 500% guilty!

He didn’t pull the trigger but the only way for a firing pin to connect to a primer on a colt single action army is if the trigger was being held down while he was cocking the hammer.

No way you can hold a gun, discharge a gun, say it was really loud, watch two people fall to the ground where the gun was pointed and then sit there and say he knew nothing about it, he thought she fainted. Give me a break

The only thing I didn't get was that he said he felt no guilt like it was somebody else's fault.

@2:22 Baldwin didn't see any safety issues. I wonder what he thought would happen when he released the hammer. Hint: brings the firing pin in contact with the primer if a shell is present in the chamber. I gather it was supposed to be dummy ammunition for that scene. If the camera had been remotely operated or if it had been aimed at a mirror, much of the risk could have been engineered out if human factors failed. This is a failure on many levels.

I'm on the Internet and that makes me automaticly an expert. So I as an expert can say without a doubt that because of his bodylanguage he did not and I will say it loud and clearly that HE DID NOT violently shat himself during the interview. Also Alec seems pretty sus.

Wow when he said someone is responsible for the shooting but it not me Alex Baldwin you where holding the gun and Pointing the gun at someone and pulled the hammer back and pulled the trigger and if you had gun safety training you should of Checked the gun to make sure that it was empty and didn't have any ammunition in the gun I think all the actors and actresses that are using guns should be Required to get gun safety training and it should be a law if the don't check the gun for ammunition and not take someone word that its empty and be required to make sure it's safe we wouldn't have stuff like this happening that way if something like this happened that can say ok charge the actors or actress that was behind the gun it is stupid people that kill people not the guns wake up people

Baldwin: “I knew nothing about her”
then he started crying after mentioning her name like she was a longtime very close friend, blaming everyone and everything except himself.
Recently he had the nerve to say: “I didn’t pull the trigger”
So he didn’t check the gun, he cocked the revolver, he pointed in a direction of Halyna, but he “didnt pull the trigger” (?) Gimme a break. He should have been charged already.
Huge dislike.

He’s guilty, he needs to be held accountable

He said he had no remorse because he didn't want to imply guilt.

How to bias the jury before one is even picked! Great lawyers and publicists are everything.

Will someone actually answer the only question that really matters, why was a live round even on the set? It had no business being there.

If someone who wasn’t a celebrity did what Alec did they would’ve been arrested and responsible for it
