Raw selvedge denim jeans are one of menswear's most complex and complicated genres. It's unpredictability with it's ever changing nature, as well as the technical terms used to describe such minute details, it can be confusing for menswear and streetwear enthusiasts alike. That is why I created this list of a bunch of raw denim fade terms everyone should know! This way, it will be easier for my beginners in the raw selvedge denim game to learn and get right into it!

Selvedge denim seemingly has a life and a language of its own, and there are so many terms that can be used when describing the raw denim fade. Selvedge denim jeans can be very expensive mistakes if you don't know what you are doing, so it is always best that you take the time to do your research on fit, style, fading, weight, and just ultimately decide what you want out of your raw denim fades.

My guy! I got a question for u hopefully u can help, so context, im an asian man whos 5’11, while being 155 lbs and having athletic thighs my waist is a 26” hip 31”. I recently bought a size 29 True Guy from Naked and Famous, would u happen to have any tips for me when the waist is too big and i dont want to wear the pants on the low rise side. Thanks!

Chain stitch is actually not that hard to get, any cover stitch machine can do it
