If I did get that right, inhibit on the 4051 is for stop/play and reset on the binary resets the whole thing?

Hi thanks for your great videos! I wanted to ask you if the 4051 as a central sequencer, I could bring each step into a 4017 with a rotary to divide or multiply the steps with the rotary as a selection tool. So 1 4017 per step, 8 steps in total. My fear is will the voltage get lost in the 4017s or does it go in the 4051 continually. Thanks in advance!
