What's the difference between a GUI and a CLI?

As a developer you might find yourself using a CLI (command line application) more than GUI (graphic user interface). CLIs can feel intimidating at first, but actually have a lot of advantages, especially if you have the skills to hack and script your workflows within them. If you want to be a programmer, get used to the command line.

This is the mindset thats preventing linix from becoming a major os despite being free and fully featured. The moment it requires a command to do some simple joob, a user immediately switches back to Windows, and this potential user is lost for another decade or so.
