Cat's First Time Outside in 10 Years!

There's a first time for everything. And for Sho, it's going outside! Until now, we haven't had a patio for them to expore the outside, and we live downtown where the traffic is very dangerous for outdoor kitties. The humane society won't even let you adopt a cat if you're going to allow them outdoors! But now, we have a patio which is great for everyone.

I made sure the patio was safe for her and that she couldn't jump up to the railing. And I also keep a very close eye on her, of course.

Kodi will have to wait his turn because he needs the harness. That nimble guy could leap that tall railing without even thinking about it.

The house I bought 20 years ago (and still have) was chosen because it had a back patio I could screen to make a catio. That catio for my huge cat family outweighed all other considerations. Such is our love for these little guys.
