How to check Sony Xperia Sim Lock Status without SIM Card

In this video I show you how to check if your Sony Xperia has a Sim Lock / Network lock without having to insert a different SIM card to find out. This works on Xperia Z, Z1, Z2, Z3 and all other Android Xperia models

There is a sim in my phone I also tried other sims but it keeps saying insert sim.

proabably wont get a response being this is so old but when i press the simlock button I dont see that menu i get a message saying insert simcard1 and reboot what does that mean. the imei is clean and when i put a sim card from a different carrier it aks for a code

Every single one of these videos shows you what to do when you're already past the locking stage. How about a video for people who are lock right out. Emergency calls only etc, so can't get any codes? Cheers.

Mine says 0 on everything and it's a brand new phone but also says I have 5 attempts.. Anyway put my sim in and typed my unlock code no problems.. The number in your video works perfectly even EE gave me the wrong one

Just go to setting
And go to call setting and you will find country list(overseas) and check it and done
-Only for Xperia z1 (I dunno if other cp is the same)
