I don't think I've ever seen that guy without a smile on his face.

He smiles like a man who fell into a particle accelerator and saw everything that ever was and everything that ever will be.

Fun fact: Georges Lemaitre was the founder of the big bang theory. He was also a Catholic priest.

He forgot to mention that Edwin Hubble showed Einstein that he was right.

So Einsteins biggest blunder was doubting himself

I am a physicist. It is very nice to see someone talk about general relativity in the same way my mother-in-law talks to my kids :)

the greatest disappointment of living in 2023 is being aware of all the mysteries of the universe but not being able to definitively know the answers

Einstein was a genius and he established multiple hypotheses regarding the workings of physics, space, and time. Being a genius did not mean he was infallible. His hypotheses were wrong about 50% of the time. This is why science is so fantastic, without experimentation and observation to back up hypotheses, even the best and brightest are not taken for their word alone. The exact opposite of religion.

I heard an idea that our observable universe is the singularity itself within a black hole. Certain things make a lot of sense that way, like how we can only observe so much, due to the horizon in said black hole. And the galactic expansion we experience might just be the black hole expanding, resulting in the singularity, also expanding. It could also mean that our big bang was simply the supernova that birthed the black hole

The beauty of science is that its always correcting itself

Einstein had a theory could be said to legitimately any question and it would make sense
