Hey sunless great video as always. But I wanna mention one small thing. From 2008 to 2015 there actually was a ranking system. But with the release of rocket league, the ranking system was removed.

You just reviewed a game so old that the company who used to host the online servers went bankrupt...

You should have seen what it was like back in 2011/2012. Full ranked playlists, TEAM RANKED, janky unofficial tournaments on sites you've never even heard of, but the youtube scene was amazing too. Jhzer was still posting compilations, coolcole, fysho, stevebills, sadjunior, kuxir, pluto, lachinio, etc., names we know today but in a completely different context. It wasn't about being the greatest player with the highest ranks. It was about how far you could stretch the physics of this game until it couldn't even keep up anymore. Ping pong galore with freestyling as the number one reason anybody wanted to get good.

Oh, and people weren't so unbelievably ignorant that they realized the clear advantage of a game with multiple types of maps. Just 7 different arenas, some were clearly more popular but everyone, and I mean everyone, played on every single map.

I only got ps4/RL in January of this year. Played sarpbc for a good 18 months or so before hand though. I feel like it was kind of my spiritual training for RL. The ball cam part you mentioned was the part that threw me the most. I didn't like the RL ballcam when the ball was high & directly above you. Got there in the end though. Pretty sure i've played with that silvestre dude too haha. Would always see the same ps3 peasants (like me) on sarpbc haha. Funny story though I was recently reuinted with an old sarpc buddy about a week ago in solo standard on RL. It was a very cool moment in my gaming experience. We started playing together and we instantly had the same old chemistry & teamwork. It was quite awesome.

Worth mentioning that in one of the stages 'Football Stadium' is the one level where you can play around the GOAL. Also the intro is amazing....
