Overclock your i9 9900K to over 5Ghz for more FPS!

Here's how to overclock your i9 9900K and 9900KF, it also works for the 9900KS

The goal is to increase the performance of the CPU without having it overheat, since these chips run very high in temperature. It works for both Z370 and Z390. This will also helps reduce stutters and increase productivity performance.

Today we're using an MSI bios but I have tutorials for pretty much every BIOS out there, cross reference with the other videos on my channel!

If you're encountering thermal issues and/or have a locked CPU or motherboard (B360, H310), you can always undervolt instead! You'll still gain some performance.

Here's the electric screwdriver I use for every PC I build:

This is the small compressor I recommend to clean PCs:

WoW I can finally play HFW above 60fps in the Cities on my new 4080S (and probably with my 4070ti aswell). This clock made the game able to run great in 1440p DLAA above 70fps instead of around 55.

Used this to tune for Marvel Rivals. Simple and to the point. Keep on an eye on those temp boys.

I9-9900k owner here. I have had this CPU since 2018 when it first came out. It has been absolutely fantastic and my gaming experience for the last six years has been fantastic. With that said, I am wanting to speed it up now as it enters the twilight of its life. The problem with this CPU though is it runs hot as hell. I have a giant Be Quiet heat sink fan system attached to it, but I also have a EVGA 3080 TI GPU which runs fucking hot as hell.

I pretty much have to have my case completely opened to keep the heat from building up when overclocking. Since this was the first I9 CPU Intel made I don't think they had the power consumption and heat down, but it was a fine trade off to have so much power in 2018.

I plan on building a new gaming rig in fall 2025 when Intel and Nvidia has their new tech out in 2025. Great video overall.

Hey bro! I saw your RTX 3070 TI (my GPU) overclocking guide. I saw on reddit you got some hate so I was wondering if your method is still recommended and if you could tell me which of the 3 methods you showed in the video would you recommend for me? I got a ryzen 5 5600x

if your intel cpu's model ends with "k" and you aren't changing the core multiplier then you've wasted money because the "k" indicates that the core multiplier is unlocked so that you CAN adjust it and is slightly more expensive than non-"k" counterparts.

So do I limit my I9 in single core performance if I only overclock it to 4.9 ? Because stock it should throttle to 5ghz if needed? Or is 4.9 still an improvement for gaming? 5.0 is not stable for me.

Can I go in between 1.375 like 1.360 or 1.370? Trying to find stable?
