Me myself I´m Swedish dating a Ukrainian girl for 3 years. Its a complete different story here. Yes, you can suggest some of your traditions from back home, but you also have to meet her half way.

As a young British man who lived in Lviv conducting orchestra for 5 years & eventually married a Ukrainian girl, I can say this;
1) Dating was extremely easy & almost every single girl was interested.
2) Britain for some reason featured (pre war I don't know now) a lot on the news. They like to report British news in particular there, not German, Italian etc just British. Being British is good there.
3) In my opinion, Ukrainian girls are lovely. They are very loyal & no nonsense. They are ready to become young mothers and make a home for your family. This is what I got anyway.
4) I will add, these younger girls in Lviv did love a bit of drama often acting like they were in some Romance film. In these instances, best thing to do is keep calm.
