6 Weeks Out From My First Ironman

6 weeks till Ironman Lake Placid 🚀
Started the week out feeling pretty good, wouldn't say it finished that way.
In the long run, I didn't use any hydration and I believe that affected it a bit. It was also really hot and my heart rate was a bit higher than usual. Going to probably start planning loops on my long run to stop and re-hydrate.
Went into my new longest ride, and felt good on it. Had a lot of intervals and thought I was going to have a higher power output, but we'll get there eventually. Still had a pretty solid effort, but my legs were getting really tired towards the end of it.
On Sunday, had some quad tightness and that made the run a bit more of a struggle to get through. Still got it done.
Open water swim, the conditions got pretty bad toward the end making it hard to spot and breathe. I ended up cutting it 10 minutes short but still showed up.
Looking forward to the recovery week, but still have one more full week before I get to rest a little.
