Actually it was Max Planck whose idea it was in 1900 (5 years before Einstein's photoelectric effect) that energy is emitted in discrete packets called quanta rather than being continuous as was thought at the time. E= hv was given by Planck. Einstein used it and built on it.

Quantum physics also came from Niels Bohr's model of the hydrogen atom and how it's electron can only orbit at fixed energy levels, the difference between which provide the characteristic color of light emitted as the electron drops down one level. These levels exist in all atoms and provide their characteristic colors.

Newton also said light is a particle... Every particle has wave nature. The smaller the particle, the lower its frequency. Gamma rays acts pretty much like beta E=mC^2 is not energy mass conversion, but m=E/C^2 is the mass of light particle escaping nucleus of Atom

Sr plz explain why photo electric current does not increase while increasing frequency of incident photon although K. E. Of Photo electron increases. This statement contradicts the relations I = q/t & I = naeV. 🙏🙏
