HOW TO: Fix ANY Printer Issue on Your Mac

Is your Mac having trouble connecting to your printer? Is your printer working fine but just isn't appearing on macOS? Can't print a document? In this helpful video tutorial, I walk you through some steps that may resolve the issue you're having.

It's important to note that I cannot guarantee the steps outlined in this How-To video will work, so if you continue to have issues please comment here and I will do my best to help you.

Generally, as long as your software is up to date and your printer is working without issue, there should be no reason why your printer should not pair successfully with your Mac computer or laptop.

THANKS A LOT !! I couldn't understand for the life of my why my printer won't just churn out the damn page when it was correctly connected to my Mac. Deleting the printer drives solved the issue for me.

I have been unable to print from my MacStudio for over a year. Neither Apple or Epson could solve the issue. But you did today. I went into CUPS, deleted and then added my printer. Now it works. Thank you very much!

Thanks!!! This worked!!! One tip for everyone. HP replaced my old printer with the exact same model. So My Mac was seeing the OLD printer. Go to 6:16 in the vid. Hit the minus sign to get rid of all printers. Then hit + sign to select new printer which in my case was the exact same model.

I have a MacBook Pro version 12.5.1 (Monterey). My problem is that it suddenly can't even find my printer, which it was using fine until today. I've tried the things you suggested in this video but it just can't see the printer, before or after I deleted it. This is a very helpful video though, in spite of my issue.
